Client Operations Specialist

Job Title: Client Operations Specialist
Job Overview: This is a full-time opportunity in our New York City office. This role is an additional hire to a growing team. The Client Operations Specialist will report to the Director of Operations and Senior Operations Specialist.
Responsibilities:- Complete daily brokerage operations tasks/workflows to ensure that all operational procedures and risk controls are followed, documented, and properly maintained.
- Identify opportunities for improving and automating everyday manual processes, meeting deadlines, and paying close attention to detail.
- Provide accurate, timely, and effective support for clients, including processing account paperwork and addressing client inquiries and problems.
- Process and follow up on account paperwork, set up client accounts, maintain client files and records, and generate appropriate statements and reporting.
- Act promptly and effectively to address client inquiries and requests and provide proactive communication and information, as appropriate.
- Research and resolve problems and appropriately escalate opportunities to the advisors/leaders.
- Complete cashiering responsibilities and ACH/wire/check requests.
- Provide ongoing account maintenance and review of new and existing account activity.
- Build and maintain effective internal working relationships and support teamwork in meeting company goals.
- Initiate and/or participate in projects and/or initiatives as appropriate with the intent of continual improvement in processes, client experience, etc.
- Provide assistance with office management tasks and administrative duties.
- Provide support to advisors, analysts, and fellow operations colleagues to meet client and firm needs and may help provide appropriate materials and information.
- Assist with the execution of the strategic vision/goals of the firm.
- High attention to detail skills
- Work well under pressure
- High sense of urgency as it relates to new client account creation and management
- Strong written and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools. Advanced Excel skill is a plus
- CRM experience, Junxure Cloud CRM is a plus
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, firm culture, and style
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and adhere to deadlines
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as with a team
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years of operations experience in a financial services environment
- Prior experience at previous custodians (i.e., Schwab, Fidelity) is a plus
